Self-Care & Earth-Care: Research, Resources & Links
We often hear only one side of the story about animal products: the call to reduce meat consumption, the need for a transition to plant protein, and the pollution and environmental impact of animal agriculture. The partial truth is the paradigm and context in which this is embedded: industrial agriculture and unconscious and Western culture food consumption patterns.
Industrial farming, including both animal and crop agriculture, are part of the problem; but it doesn't have to be that way, it is paradigm dependent: a regenerative way of farming where integrated agricultural systems use ecological principles and bio-mimicry to thrive like natural ecosystems not only regenerate our top soil (our biological currency), but human health and our relationship to the land. Animals are essential for sustainable agriculture and for providing a nutrient-dense, regenerative and resilient food production system.

For resources on meat & earth-care, find out about the importance of ruminants and animals in an integrated holistic way of farming here.
If you want to know how and where to source non-industrial, high quality meat and animal products, I have a (EU based) Food Sourcing page.
If you are interested in a carnivore way of eating to experience the potential and health-giving properties of animal foods, check out these resources here.
